Qualifications: High school diploma and 1 year of fleet or vehicle service and repairs experience required 2 years preferred. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently or with a team. Must be capable of following verbal, written and documents procedures. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to perform simple math operations. Able to lift 50 lbs., stand/walk for duration of work hours, must pass background and drug test required, must have current valid driver's license with a good driving history, required.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for insuring fleet vehicles are operable/usable for operations to perform profitable work for all operation personnel. Also this position is responsible for identifying any potential safety hazards and keeping all vehicles working according to federal and state regulations. This position reports directly to the Fleet and Facility Manager. Sound judgment and a positive attitude are required.


Duties and Responsibilities:

o Works with the Fleet and Facility Manager to develop plans and strategies to improve the overall performance of the branch and to support the strategic plans.

o Leads and trains new employees as directed by the Fleet and Facility Manager.


* Operations

o Performs day-to-day operations on the facilities as directed by the Fleet and Facility Manager.

o Responds to repair requests.

o Performs the duties of a mechanic involved in hands on repairs and maintenance of vehicles.

o Coordinates parts runs; maintains sufficient parts inventory.

o Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports.

o Performs road service on equipment as required.


* Safety

o Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, workstations and shipping supply areas neat.


* Technical

o Follows and complies with various federal, state and local regulatory agencies pertaining to vehicle maintenance and safety requirements.

Job Factors


* Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
