We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to manage our plumbing company’s inventory efficiently. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies. Your role will directly impact our operations, customer service, and overall success.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:Maintain accurate inventory records using our digital tracking system.
  • Regularly update stock levels, including incoming and outgoing items.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels.
  • Supply Replenishment:Place orders for plumbing materials, tools, and equipment based on demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Implement efficient reorder points to prevent stockouts.
  • Quality Control:Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Identify damaged or defective items and initiate returns or replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards for plumbing materials.
  • Documentation and Reporting:Generate regular inventory reports, including stock levels, usage trends, and variances.
  • Maintain documentation related to inventory adjustments, transfers, and audits.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget projections for inventory expenses.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with field technicians, project managers, and administrative staff.
  • Communicate effectively to address inventory-related issues promptly.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to improve overall processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in inventory management or supply chain preferred.
  • Proven experience (at least 2 years) in inventory control or related roles.
  • Familiarity with plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
