Journeyman Plumber - Field Technician
We’re launching a brand‑new Mr. Rooter Plumbing location in Cypress, and we’re looking for a service‑oriented Journeyman Plumber who takes pride in their craft, communicates with customers like a pro, and wants to be part of a team that’s building something meaningful.
You’ll be stepping into a foundational role where your experience and professionalism will help set the standard for our new territory.
The Mr. Rooter systems, leadership, and brand are already firmly in place — but your craftsmanship and customer service will play a major part in shaping how our operation performs and grows.
This is not an entry‑level role.
This is a key hire position.
What You’ll Do
- Run residential service plumbing calls independently and professionally
- Diagnose issues thoroughly and present clear repair options
- Perform high‑quality repairs and installations
- Follow the Mr. Rooter C.U.S.T.O.M.E.R. experience process to deliver consistent, five‑star service
- Conduct whole‑home plumbing inspections and provide proactive recommendations
- Maintain clean work habits, accurate documentation, and strong communication
- Treat every home with respect and protect the customer’s property
- Help establish the service standards and field culture as the team grow
Who Thrives in This Role
This position is ideal for someone who:
- Enjoys interacting with customers and solving problems
- Takes pride in service work and doing the job right the first time
- Appreciates autonomy — managing your day, your calls, and your results
- Is patient, persistent, and detail‑oriented
- Is comfortable with tools, technology, iPads, and service software
- Isn’t afraid of the physical side of plumbing and takes pride in cleaning up afterward
- Wants a long‑term career path with room to grow
Training & Support
You are already a skilled, experienced plumber.
We are not teaching you how to be one.
What Mr. Rooter provides is:
- Systems training to help you deliver a consistent, high‑quality customer experience
- Coaching to help you increase your success, efficiency, and earning potential
- Access to advanced training modules to level up, not start from scratch
This is professional development, not basic training.
