Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For

Initially, you’ll team up with a more experienced operator to train on the knowledge and skills you’ll need to perform. Once you are up to speed, you’ll be the face of the company and critical in providing an excellent experience for our customers.

You’ll provide crucial services for our customers’ homes and families. Here are the things you’ll be responsible for:


· Safely operating a septic truck equipped with vacuum pumps and hoses to collect and transport septic waste

· Ensure the proper operation of the truck's equipment, performing regular maintenance checks and addressing any issues promptly.

· Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving the septic truck.

· Maintain a strong focus on road safety, avoiding accidents and practicing defensive driving techniques. 

· Efficiently locate and access septic tanks and waste storage facilities.

· Perform the proper procedures for pumping, cleaning, and emptying septic tanks and waste containers.

· Transport collected waste to designated disposal sites, following proper waste disposal guidelines.

· Maintain accurate records of each service call, including photos, location of septic tank and condition of the tank and amount of waste collected.

· Following Our Mr. Rooter Plumbing Process - You’ll follow our proven process, from locating the tank to restoring the landscaping.

Job Requirements

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

· Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs., bend, stoop, and crawl into confined spaces.

· Must have a valid COMMERCIAL, Class B driver’s license and be insurable - you’ll be driving our company vehicle.

· Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy hoses and equipment and hand digging tank lids.

· Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.

· Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and irregular hours.
